MARY JEPPSEN

Mary Jeppsen

Mary had been coming to Dauphin Island for 12 years for family vacations and finally moved to the Island permanently last July. She and her husband work full time as counselors doing telehealth and face to face counseling at an office in Mobile. After raising their children, she returned to school, earning first a master’s in counseling and Marriage and Family Therapy and, later, a PHD in Counselor Education and Supervision.

She is trained in EMDR, Emotion Focused Couples Therapy, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Play Therapy, Sand Tray Therapy, and is a Certified Daring Way™ facilitator. Struggles in her own life, raising a large family, and searching for meaning, Mary has learned that the most valuable things in life are relationships and connection. A large part of her practice is devoted to helping people discover connection with themselves and their families. It is her aim to live wholeheartedly and to encourage others to do the same.
